Smithy Gallery, located in the beautiful village of Blanefield, is as stylish as the works that hang on its walls.
Natalie Harrison has lovingly restored the village's original blacksmiths, retaining many of its original features, while creating a unique space to showcase the works of established as well as upcoming artists. |

Smithy Gallery is only a twenty minute drive from Glasgow's City Centre and will give visitors the opportunity to view the work of well known contemporary Scottish artists such as David Martin RSW RGI, Carlo Rossi RSW RGI, Margaretann Bennett RSW, Henry Fraser and Laura Harrison, all of whose works are part of private collections around the world. Its diary of exhibitions also showcase work by upcoming talent such as George Allen, Emma Waine and Marion Thomson.
The gallery also exhibits a wide selection of sculptural ceramics and glassware produced by some of Britain's finest talent including Anne Morrison and Zoe Gadsby. Smithy Gallery is also pleased to provide a platform for the dynamic steel figurative work of David Irwin, a Glasgow welder turned artist.
Historically, the smithy has always been at the heart of village life, and Natalie Harrison is delighted to continue its legacy.
With its cosy woodburning stove and seating area, Smithy Gallery offers a relaxing and inspirational environment in which to enjoy the best of contemporary Scottish art. |
